"The Texas Rowing Center is one of several spots along Lady Bird Lake (called Town Lake among locals) where families can rent a canoe or kayak and get out on the water. Thanks to its devout local following, it’s one of the best-established rowing houses in Austin. Located near a handful of overlooks, it's also a beautiful launching point onto the lake. Families can rent two-seater kayaks (the best option for young kiddos) or stand-up paddle boards (a choice option among teens), and can easily navigate the lake waters, which aren’t open to motorized boats.
