"As of December 2017 this hotel is permanently closed. Once an apartment building, this "elegant hotel with French charm" is in the "lovely neighborhood" of La Recoleta, near art galleries and antiques dealers. "The lobby is gorgeous," and Art Deco rooms designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon have Argentine leather furnishings and a beige, yellow, black, and champagne palette. Dine on foie gras terrine and braised Patagonian lamb at Le Sud, where "the ambience is a little lacking but the food is good." La Bibliotheque lounge is the place for fresh croissants and coffee in the morning; at night, it has live music and a large selection of Argentine wines. "The excellent staff includes a very helpful concierge."
