"Benito Juarez International is Latin America’s busiest airport last year, and it is currently operating at over 50 percent capacity with 35,000 flights, handling 44 million passengers. Despite its overcrowding, plans to alleviate this issue include adding a terminal and two runways to a military base north of Mexico City. The airport is at capacity, therefore, no new routes can be introduced."
