"Sean Edwards, the founder of one of Kentucky’s first Black-owned distilleries, has long understood the intricacies involved in spirits making. As a child, he watched his uncle and grandfather make moonshine in the basement. What he has created with Fresh Bourbon Distilling in Lexington far surpasses those humble beginnings. Fresh Bourbon has a touch of sweetness, with tasting notes of vanilla and brown sugar. Edwards has plans to build a massive 34,000 square foot distillery, valued at an upwards of $5.4 million, where he will welcome visitors. Construction completion is slated for late 2021. For now, bottles of Fresh Bourbon can be purchased at select stores in Lexington and online."
