The 42 Best Restaurants in Rome

"Kick things off at Da Enzo with an order of sourdough bread and ricotta. The pastas are all very good, but it’s the mains that truly dazzle. Don’t miss the polpette (meatballs), a dreamy mix of beef, mortadella ham, and pecorino cheese served in a thick tomato sauce. Grilled garlicky eggplant makes for a perfect side dish, as does the steamed wild chicory, dressed in lemon and extra virgin olive oil. For dessert, the tiramisu is always a winner, but we also love the pistachio gelato—it's the best you'll ever have." - Maresa Manara
