The Palace Bar

Irish pub · Ringsend

"The notorious tourist hotspot of Temple Bar is not an area where Dubliners typically head for a drink. The one exception? The Palace Bar. Right on the cusp of the district on Fleet Street, it's one of the oldest pubs in the city, and most definitely one of the finest. The folks drinking here have been frequenting the Palace ever since they were allowed through its doors, and in addition to the old regulars, you'll find professors and students from nearby Trinity, sports fans, and those of a more literary persuasion—this used to be the favored pub of Patrick Kavanagh and Flann O’Brien, among others. Try a handful of standout Irish craft beers, like the Galway Hooker, and round out of the evening with one of Dublin's better toasties." - Nicola Brady
