11 Parks in Atlanta You'll Want to Visit

"Developed for the 1996 Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park helped revitalize a stretch of downtown Atlanta. The 21-acre site includes a large plaza, where a Fountain of Ring shoots up concentric circles of water—perfect to frolic through on a hot day—and plenty of green space for relaxation and picnics. Some 430,000 commemorative engraved bricks pave granite bands around the park. There’s a brick locator map, so that visitors can find either their own brick or that of a family member or friend. In all, this is a fantastic respite from the most chaotic part of the city." - Jennifer Bradley Franklin
