"Istanbul’s first St. Regis fits in perfectly with its upscale retail neighbors—Versace, Tom Ford, and Lanvin, to name a few—in Istanbul’s tony, boutique-filled Nişantaşı district. Refreshingly, the hotel’s modernist Art Deco architecture is luxurious but not ritzy, and rooms are spacious, sleek, and considerably understated for a St. Regis property, allowing the beautiful Bosphorus and Maçka Park views to take the spotlight. There’s a rooftop Spago, of course, but what you’re really here for is the street-level brasserie, where you’ll find Chef Gürcan Gülmez’s excellent French-Turkish fusion fare—try the artichoke-stuffed dolma and and the Turkish cheeseboard.
