"If you ask for directions to John Hendry Park, you’ll get blank stares—it’s known to locals as "Trout Lake Park" after the body of water that's its centerpiece and focal point of this 67-acre former peat bog. The lake has a lovely freshwater beach; swimming is allowed, and from May to September there are lifeguards on duty.
