"In spring 2019, the State Hotel opened the eight-story Eitel building just a stone’s throw from Pike Place Market . The 91 white walled guest rooms are a bit spare but are still upscale and cheery. A Shepard Fairey mural covers the west-facing exterior wall, and Ben Paris, a ground-floor restaurant that quickly became a lunch and happy-hour favorite for local workers. Reasonably priced and perfectly located, this hotel makes a great case for itself as the go-to perch for Seattle tourists." - Jessica Voelker, Naomi Tomky
