Ramens in New York
A ramen for the heads, a place that a lot of people feel more strongly about than I do, but it's still pretty good.
Former Tsujita person, mostly for tsukemen -- they do have a jiro style broth situation as well.
They have an Afuri style yuzu ramen that I actually like a lot, definitely more than the Afuri in Portland but not more than the one in Tokyo...
Newest tsukemen with very thick noodles made in house, fishy and porky dipping sauce a la Tsujita.
An always great ramen, although the lines and waiting can be insane and infuriating. But they have reservations, honestly a nice little lunch situation.
Former Ippudo chef with a non-pork broth, but highly recommended from people I trust.
Very much an OG of east village ramen, not even the best anymore, but holds a very soft spot in my heart.
New ramen from San Francisco, some interesting bowls -- known for exceptionally long lines in SF.
