"I was relieved to hear the Igor’s group purchased the Magazine Street building and confirmed it will remain Ms. Mae’s The Club when it reopens. Ms. Mae’s has long been known for its 24/7 hours, “the cheapest drinks in town” (wells $2.00, doubles $3.00, domestics from $1.50), loud heavy metal on the jukebox, an ever-interesting clientele, and a colorful history tied to the late Florence Bingham (Ms. Mae), who was quick to reopen after Hurricane Katrina and helped cement the bar’s neighborhood vibe. The place also offers pool, air hockey, video poker, and foosball, and the owners say they’re looking forward to getting it back open as soon as it’s safe (expecting to reopen in phase 3.3)." - Clair Lorell
