Chick-fil-A opens its 11th Las Vegas location on Thursday - Eater Vegas
"The long-awaited Chick-fil-A taking over the former Claim Jumper space at West Charleston Boulevard and South Fort Apache Road opens on Thursday, January 7. The location plans to offer a drive-thru and curbside pickup for mobile orders through the Chick-fil-A mobile app. Usually, Chick-fil-A First holds an event for the opening that features customers camping out to win free sandwiches for a year, but during the pandemic, the brand plans to surprise 100 local heroes making an impact in the Las Vegas area, and donate $25,000 to a local food bank through Feeding America. In 2019, Claim Jumper closed its third Las Vegas location in two years to make way for this location of Chick-fil-A, the 11th in the Las Vegas area that spans from the Strip to Henderson, with the 10th location opening in July at Las Vegas Boulevard and the 215. The chicken sandwich kings constructed a 5,011-square-foot drive-thru restaurant with an outdoor dining area across from Boca Park and half a mile from Tivoli Village. Local franchise owner Bill Carnohan hired 125 full- and part-time staff for the location. Carnohan and his family moved to Las Vegas in June after 20 years in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he would have breakfast at Chick-fil-A with his daughter, Maryn.
