"Opening on Tuesday, November 23, Flor Wines is a hospitality-driven wine shop from sommelier Andy Fortgang (of Canard and Le Pigeon) and former Little Bird wine director Sergio Licea; online sales will begin about a week earlier and include Thanksgiving wine packs. Fortgang describes the shop as akin to a bookstore—where customers can take their time perusing shelves and wine caves with a glass in hand—and the selection will focus largely on France while also including a wide range of imported and local wines, including rare, hard-to-find styles and varieties. The list is presented as a kind of extension of the wines at Le Pigeon and Canard, and customers can join one of three monthly wine clubs, with the first packs going out in early January." - Alex Frane
