"Back in business at its new South Marietta Parkway location, I'm reporting that The Red Eyed Mule has reopened in a former Huddle House three miles from its original Church Street Extension site. Known for its biscuits and burgers—one of which is Food Network star Alton Brown’s favorite—the restaurant now seats over 60 people, doubling its previous capacity. The space received a good cleaning, a fresh coat of paint inside and out, and updates to the chairs and bar stools; decor from the former location fills the walls and a covered walkway outside should help with the weekend lines that typically form. Owners Sabra Wessel and Joseph Wood closed the nearly decade-old original after their landlord did not renew the lease and, after posting the relocation dilemma to Facebook, enlisted suggestions from regulars that led them to the former Huddle House. Hours are Monday–Friday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; theredeyedmule.com." - Beth McKibben
