"Located on the prominent corner of Burton Way and San Vicente, this restaurant opened on July 22 as a glamorous reworking of Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne’s former The Larder at Burton Way. A partnership between Amici Brentwood owner Tancredi Deluca and Rick Caruso’s company, the team took over the shuttered space in April, added cozy patios on both sides, and created an all-day, art‑deco bistro framed by floor-to-ceiling windows. The menu focuses on Northern Italian fare with classic staples and seasonal rotations—early hours serve coffees, pastries, French toast, and frittatas, while the main offerings include house-made pastas, favorites carried over from Amici Brentwood, and crowd-pleasers like cacio e pepe. The wine list emphasizes small-scale producers from Italy and California. Designed by Amy Kim of AK Design Network, the space makes strong use of ample outdoor seating; hours are roughly 8 a.m.–4 p.m. for daytime service and 5–10 p.m. for dinner daily." - Mona Holmes
