"Opening Thursday, July 17 on Mississippi Avenue, Bone Sine is the Rangoon Bistro team's new sister bar next door that pays homage to mid-20th-century Burmese taverns where friends pooled money to share drinks and snacks. The menu, designed with Tyler and Devon Treadwell of Tulip Shop Tavern, leans upscale while remaining homey: bar nuts are tossed with lime leaf, shan spice, brown sugar, and butter, and the Rangoon team's signature big spiciness and deep saltiness are intentionally cranked up “to a 15.” Expect assertive bitterness and acid, with the fermented tea leaf- and fried egg-topped rice dish lahpet htamin presented as a main character; classic cocktails will use Burmese ingredients and local spirits from Tuff Talk Distillery; most dishes are priced under $20; and the full Rangoon Bistro menu is also available thanks to a shared kitchen." - Paolo Bicchieri
