In fairness, this wasn’t just any chicken, it was Dave’s Hot Chicken, the Nashville-style Los Angeles–based chain that got a vital bit of early publicity from Eater LA back in 2017 and has since spread all over the U.S., plus Canada and the Persian Gulf.
