"Opening in Penn Quarter later this month inside the former International Spy Museum at 800 F Street NW, the 19,000-square-foot D.C. edition of Drive Shack–owned Puttery features three distinct 9-hole courses (Art Museum, Conservatory, and Illusion), each with its own themed decor and drinks menu: the Art Museum is covered in colorful pop-art prints and oversized Andy Warhol Campbell’s soup cans; the Conservatory is filled with giant redwood replicas, cacti, and cherry blossoms; and the Illusion course is wrapped in bendy black-and-white graphics designed to make drinking while golfing more challenging. Guests can dine without playing, and the snack-forward menu leans upscale with veggie potstickers, sous-vide pork belly, marinated ahi tuna with togarashi rice chips, oven-roasted meatballs, lamb or beef sliders, and a fig, burrata and serrano ham salad with toasted bread, plus a core carbs section of eight pizzas (spicy capicola, sausage pesto, mascarpone and mushroom among the varieties). Cocktails include the Margarita Standoff, Mean Machine, Old Fashioned, French 75 and Sazerac. The opening team includes GM Massimo Giannetti (BLT Steak alum) and executive chef James Oakley, a 30-year hospitality veteran, and the venue takes private bookings from 10 guests up to full buyouts for 350; hours are Sunday 11 a.m.–12 a.m., Monday–Wednesday 4 p.m.–12 a.m., Thursday 4 p.m.–2 a.m., Friday 12 p.m.–2 a.m., and Saturday 11 a.m.–2 a.m." - Tierney Plumb
