"At Heirloom I appreciated its spot on the city’s fringe and found many classics done well: calamari, a Caesar salad and a half‑portion of carbonara were rich and enjoyable, though a pappardelle with mushroom and rabbit ragout was cloying from excess butter and oil. The pizzas (all‑dressed and Italian sausage) were a tad heavy on toppings and lacked the pleasingly puffy quality of Neapolitan pies, but the crust was flavorful; the sauce could use some “zuzzing up.” Milkshake desserts were enjoyable finales—the dulce de leche option earning particular praise—and service was friendly. All told, the pizza may not be the best in town yet, but there’s plenty of room for improvement; I gave it two and a half stars." - JP Karwacki
