"Opened quietly earlier this month at 2460 Wilshire Boulevard, the new Santa Monica restaurant from father-and-son restaurateurs Moez and Karim Megji draws inspiration from the London neighborhood where Moez lived as a child, incorporating flavors from India, East Africa, and beyond. Chef de cuisine Manolo Espejel is behind dishes such as harissa lamb tartare with chive oil and crispy polenta, naan bread with raita and chile sauce, and tikka masala fried chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed kale; wines, beers, and cocktails are available. Designer Hema Persad revamped the former Gramercy space to incorporate Chelsea’s characteristic colors, textures, patterns, and prints, and the restaurant is open Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m." - Cathy Chaplin
