"I awarded the newcomer 2 stars (good.), and I found the setting oozes style, including a chandelier made of olive branches. I was especially taken with the made-on-site pastas, none of which I found to be "less than very good," notably the pesto gnocchi "that shouts 'basil!' in every mouthful" and the "yolk-yellow pappardelle" that benefits from a "delicate, herby rabbit ragu." The antipasti, however, "don't do many backflips to impress you," with the arugula salad a "salt lick." I was also underwhelmed by the $126 T-bone steak presented on a bed of rosemary — for that price "a buyer might expect a side dish to be thrown in." - Alison Baitz
