"Offering a sports-bar feel, I expect the Sporting Club to boast tons of TVs for watching games and a sprawling outdoor space with plenty of seating and games like ping-pong and cornhole, occupying part of a shared 22,000-square-foot space at 2516 Florence Street. A lounge area between the two spaces will house a collection of vintage arcade games. I expect frozen cocktails such as a peach blossom frosé and a Kentucky mule spiked with Jim Beam Peach, along with a lengthy list of wine and beer. The Sporting Club will share a dinner menu with Blum that includes barbecue chicken pizza, herb-crusted filet mignon, and Chilean sea bass with arrabbiata sauce, plus sides like truffle mac and cheese, charred broccolini, and a flight of fries with various dipping sauces, and the duo is expected to be a weekend brunch destination with breakfast tacos, bagels with lox, and fried chicken biscuits. The venues are set to open at 9 p.m. on April 15 and will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily thereafter." - Amy McCarthy
