"I found the dumpling sensation Dough Zone has made waves on the West Coast since first opening in Bellevue, Washington in 2014, and has now made its Texas debut in Houston, opening on Monday, October 2 at the Plazas at Midtown II. The Midtown outpost offers a broad menu of doughy dishes, including its signature soup-filled Soul dumplings (Xiao Long Bao); pan-fried Q-Bao buns filled with soup and pork; a variety of noodles, such as hot-and-sour glass noodles and spicy dan dan noodles; and an intricately plated sweet-and-sour cucumber appetizer, and it is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Owners Jason and Nancy Zhai opened the first Dough House in a Bellevue strip mall in 2014 and expanded after massive lines and positive reviews, and the chain plans additional Texas locations — an Uptown site near the Galleria at 1700 Post Oak Boulevard, Suite 250 in January 2024 and a Sugar Land outpost at 2715 Town Center Boulevard in April 2024 — with further plans for Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio." - Brittany Britto Garley
