"Set to open at 100 Federal St., aka the Exchange, this will be Aceituna Grill’s third location, joining outposts in the Seaport and Cambridge’s Kendall Square (the original location has been open for about 15 years). I was told by a company representative that lines have been out the door at the Seaport and Kendall Square locations and that there is clear demand in the Financial District—many catering clients and people who already walk over to Seaport to eat at Aceituna prompted the expansion. The counter-service restaurant will seat about 200 diners with indoor and outdoor seating in a lush, glassy atrium surrounded by flora (the atrium also houses Blue Bottle Coffee, which opened in May). The menu will feature rice plates, pita roll-ups, and salads made with shawarma or falafel, plus items like shawarma and fattoush, along with a variety of sides, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages; Aceituna hopes to open in late fall, and the neighborhood may also see a massive food hall open nearby in the spring." - Terrence Doyle
