"Confirmed to Eater by co-founder Danny Gordon, this third Southern California location will debut in early spring and bring short rib cheeseburgers, beer and wine, beef-tallow fries, and soft serve to a prominent corner on Sunset Boulevard and Descanso Drive. "[Heavy Handed Silver Lake] will still have all the classics, burgers, fries, beer, ice cream, but we’ll have a more creative non-alcoholic beverage program like craft sodas and grab-and-go bottles," says Gordon. "It’ll be our same concept, just in a new location. We’ll make the space feel like a Heavy Handed." Since All Day Baby closed on December 15, 2024, locals (and avid All Day Baby fans) had wondered which entity would next occupy the sizable space; when co-founder Max Miller noticed the venue became available in mid-2024, he began working with a property broker and All Day Baby owner Lien Ta to take it over. The new interior will feature the brand’s signature red and orange, plus a mural throughout the two-story exterior that extends to the Descanso Avenue side. The partners will abandon All Day Baby’s full liquor license to focus on their existing craft beer menu while expanding wine options. The co-founders have an unofficial practice of leasing second-generation spaces — like Edobox for the first Heavy Handed in Santa Monica and the former Mister O’s in Studio City for its second outlet — and when it opens it will operate as an all-day restaurant at 3200 Sunset Boulevard, Silver Lake, CA, 90026." - Mona Holmes
