Deep Roots, Roswell’s Tech-Savvy Wine Market, Opens June 23 | Eater Atlanta

"Slated to open Saturday, June 23 in Historic Roswell, this wine market and tasting room will carry California wines at various price points, including elusive bottles aimed at collectors. The tasting room is equipped with six Napa Technology WineStations and allows for self-guided, self-serve “tours” of California wineries using pre-paid swipe cards that cover up to 24 samples; tasters can pair pours with pre-packaged snacks from the Deep Roots market or order delivery from adjacent Plum Cafe. Owner Dana Gurela, a sommelier and certified California wine appellation specialist who spent five years traveling throughout California’s wine country and served as the hospitality and wine educator for Napa Valley’s Eleven Eleven Winery, says Deep Roots wants to "take the stuffiness and pretense out of the wine sampling and purchasing process" and that "Everyone will feel at home at Deep Roots, whether you’re still learning about wine or eager to add bottles to your home collection." - Sarra Sedghi
