"Opening Monday, January 24 in Summerhill after pandemic-related delays, I expect this compact walk-up and takeout joint next to Wood’s Chapel BBQ and Junior’s Pizza on Georgia Avenue to focus tightly on fried chicken sandwiches. Part of the Benumkermi Hospitality Syndicate (Greg Best and Bart Sasso, chef William Silbernagel, and architect Luke Wilkinson), it serves just five fried chicken sandwiches—including a classic chicken sandwich and a lemon pepper wet version—along with chicken nuggets and Buffalo chicken dip, and it plans to offer beer and wine eventually. Seating options include a walk-up window, rail seating at the front window inside, and outdoor seating on the covered patio beside the building. The group also hopes to open a second, larger How Crispy by the end of 2022 along historic Hotel Row on Mitchell Street in downtown Atlanta with more indoor seating and an expanded fried-chicken menu (including buckets). Current hours are Monday–Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Sunday hours expected to be added." - Beth McKibben
