"Inside the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, this Brooklyn Heights offshoot keeps the California Italian playbook going for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with familiar Barbuto plates like the roasted chicken with salsa verde (JW pollo al forno), the kale salad, and gnocchi in hazelnut pesto. New additions include the Pizza Brooklyn—a pie topped with Acme smoked salmon, avocado, crème fraîche, and caviar—and the Pasta Bambini, a fettuccine with butter and Parmesan. The big 210-seat space pairs industrial details with greenery, and there’s also the Barbuto Garden offering its own bites and beers menu. Jonathan Waxman first opened Barbuto in 2004 in the West Village and reopened it in 2021 in a new neighborhood location, before bringing it over the river to Brooklyn." - Nadia Chaudhury
