"Country Boy Fried Chicken is getting off the ground in Pacific Beach in early 2019. Located at the corner of Garnet Avenue and Cass Street (1001 Garnet), its flagship, 2,000-square-foot space is currently being remodeled by founder Sean Fitzhugh. Having run the concept for three years in the Seattle area, Fitzhugh moved to San Diego to relaunch the fast-casual restaurant, which specializes in freshly fried chicken tenders. The Pacific Beach location will offer late night hours, and Fitzhugh tells Eater that future outposts could include a bar or a drive-thru window.
