"From the owners of the Sivas, I learned Sebastian Pintxos Bar opens Sunday, October 30 in the former Takorea space on Juniper Street in Midtown. The menu centers on dishes by chef Ilkay Suuctu, styled after those found at restaurants throughout the Basque region of Spain, and includes a selection of pintxos (shared snacks), meats and cheeses, vegetable and meat entrées, and several desserts. The bar features more than 50 gins for making a range of cocktails—including Spanish-style gin and tonics typically garnished with fresh herbs, fruit, flowers, and other botanicals served in a balón glass—offers table-side sangria service and Spanish wines, and plans to regularly host live music and DJs along with flamenco dancers and other live performances. Sebastian Pintxos Bar will be open daily for dinner at 4 p.m., with a tapas happy hour weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., late-night food starting at 11 p.m., and weekend brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Eater reached out to the restaurant for a menu and further details." - Beth McKibben
