"On a recent weekday, the small Kearny Street restaurant was packed with locals all vying for space and bowls of Chongqing numbing spicy noodles or Sichuan-Style Mouth Watering Chicken. On this occasion, it was the wontons with spicy chile oil that stood out amongst the others, as I kept sampling the dumplings from the bowl of mouth-numbing oil. My stomach isn’t always built for spice, depending on the occasion, but I plucked dumpling after dumpling anyway, content with the lovely play of dumplings in their soft wrapper against the chile oil clinging to every pleat and crevice. This restaurant might not be for those with a low spice tolerance, but if you can stand the heat, you’ll want to head to this Sichuan restaurant." - Dianne de Guzman
