"The scene at the Wingdome in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood was described as a greasy, chaotic annual buffalo wing–eating contest called the Tatonka Bowl, with about 100 Amazon employees exhibiting dazed expressions and lots of greasy hands as teams tried to consume as much chicken as possible. The event was organized with tongue-in-cheek Amazon efficiency — “wing flow managers” oversaw plate distribution to keep the process scalable and inspectors checked bones for stray meat — and even featured a bagpipe player providing a hellish soundtrack. Jassy seemed proud of his wing-eating prowess: he said he achieved “platinum” status by eating 25 wings in one sitting plus five “pasty wings” (ones that had been sitting in the tray at room temperature, congealing with excess sauce)." - Gabe Guarente
