"I learned that Sky Rocket Burger, a North Dallas burger joint that’s earned a cult following, began on Frankford Road in 2017 when owners Scott and Tio Wagner opened the original location, and is now expanding with a Deep Ellum outpost set to open June 1 at 111 North Hall Street in the space recently vacated by ice cream shop Wild About Harry’s. Amin Talebi and his partners — who also have investments in Deep Ellum venues Stirr and Vidorra — approached the owners about the new site, saying those other stakes and the neighborhood’s new developments made Deep Ellum look promising. The operation is a pretty simple burger-and-fries spot with single, double or triple burgers (roughly $5 to $10 depending on cheese), a three-cheese grilled cheese featuring Parmesan, American and cheddar, and sides like fries, tots and cheese fries. Talebi emphasizes that what sets their burgers apart is the use of all fresh ingredients — from daily-ground 100% Angus beef to fresh lettuce — and credits the restaurant’s beloved “Secret Sauce” for much of its success." - Rachel Pinn
