"I'm excited that Daddy’s Dogs, the late-night gourmet hot dog cart started by Sean “Big Daddy” Porter in 2015, is opening a new brick-and-mortar at 205 Printers Alley this weekend. This is the second permanent home for Daddy’s Dogs (Porter opened his first brick-and-mortar in The Nations in late 2017), and it brings the straightforward menu of 100% all-beef specialty dogs and sides like loaded tots, chili, slaw, or chips available all day, plus a streamlined late-night hot dog menu and a vegan hot dog option. Porter — who spent many years touring with Cage the Elephant, Elle King, Kris Allen and Mat Kearney before opening Daddy’s Dogs — made his name around town with the popular hot dog cart. During grand opening weekend (March 29–31) the Printers Alley location will be open Friday and Saturday starting at 11 a.m., and they'll be hosting a giveaway of free hot dogs for a year; starting April 1 the regular hours will be Monday–Friday 11 a.m.–2 p.m., Thursday and Friday 9 p.m.–3 a.m., Saturday 11 a.m.–3 p.m., and closed Sundays." - Delia Jo Ramsey
