The Abbey Pub to Finally Reopen After Fire With New Name and Owner | Eater Chicago

"Nearly four years after a fire shuttered the 35-year-old Irving Park bar and live-music venue, the spot at 3420 W. Grace Street is finally returning under new ownership as the Chicago Abbey; it’s slated to open later this year and will be similar to the original but modernized. The comeback comes amid a lawsuit from the venue’s longtime previous owners, who are suing their landlord and alleging they were forced to vacate over a disagreement about funding to rebuild and reopen." - Daniel Gerzina
