"Piola, a colorful and cavernous Italian restaurant located at 1550 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, announced its closure after 12 years of service. Known for free finger foods at the bar during weekday happy hour, unlimited gnocchi plates on the 29th of every month, all-you-can-eat pizza during weekend brunch, and discounted drinks throughout the week. The restaurant cited high rent and inability to extend the lease as reasons for closure. Piola had expanded into D.C., but that location closed a year ago after five years.
