"After splitting from the truck in August, the West 10th Street restaurant is being rebranded La Volta while remaining committed to wood-fired New York-style pizza, and Chef Cole Curcio will continue to oversee the food. The new name — Italian for “the turn” and a reference to a festive Renaissance couple’s dance — reflects the team’s intent to refine the menu and beverage program and to build out their vision; Travis Tober will advise on the bar program and partnerships, and new co‑partners include Cam Avery and Tom Howie alongside Kurbasic and Wisteria Venture Partners. The restaurant added lunch hours, plans to revamp and expand the outdoor back area for more dining capacity and events, and officially debuts as La Volta on Saturday, August 26, with a back‑area launch party (7–11 p.m.) featuring Avery and a fundraiser for the Hawaiʻi Foodbank. The team also says they’ll consider a second location after La Volta has been open a month or two." - Nadia Chaudhury
