"Today I noted that Whataburger opened its first digital kitchen at 3201 Bee Caves Road in Rollingwood; although staffed by about 50 people, customers place orders online or via the Whataburger app and pick up food in a “digital pickup lane” from temperature-controlled lockers (don’t call it a drive-thru). There are also kiosks to place orders onsite, the restaurant is cashless with no dining room, and it’s open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; the concept is a restaurant where food is ordered and delivered without interacting with staff, and the chain has been serving bigger burgers since 1950." - Erin Russell
