"I’m reporting that Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers has opened its new Santee outpost today — the chain’s 10th in California and its first in San Diego County — joining a network of over 350 locations worldwide and earning a reputation as the fastest-growing chain in the U.S. This Santee location is the only one to boast a double drive-thru and operates Sunday–Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday–Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. The menu sticks to its streamlined, cult-favorite offerings: “fresh, never ever frozen” chicken fingers fried to order, served with the secret-recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and sweet tea. To celebrate the opening, the first 100 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive a limited-edition Cane’s T-shirt and a voucher for a free Box Combo, and the company plans to open 30 locations in the area over the next decade (with a Vista branch due to open in July)." - Candice Woo
