"An Italian villa–inspired restaurant on Upper King Street that blends fine-dining polish with a social, lounge-forward vibe. The space features hand-plastered walls with hand-drawn palms by a Rome-based artist, imported fabrics, a large brass bar with leafy lamps, and an upstairs casual lounge with plush seating and an outdoor area draped in Italian fabrics and lush foliage. Led by chef Andrea Congiusta (formerly of Michelin-starred Il Pagliaccio in Rome) and guided by a family with roots in Turin, the menu offers modern Italian cooking with northern-Italian and French influences: a raw bar with oysters, crudos and caviars; starters like charred broccolini with spicy nduja, a “lobster bomb,” root salad with mustard vinaigrette, and foie gras with South Carolina peaches; standout pastas such as cappelletti with goat cheese, butter pecan sauce and sautéed mushrooms, king crab tagliolini, and ravioli pomodoro; and mains ranging from beef Wellington to veal Milanese, Mediterranean lamb, and black grouper with moscato-marinated grapes.
