"Inside Oakbrook Center, I explored a sprawling 45,000-square-foot hub of physical and VR games, themed interactive installations, and food and drink that debuted in December and will hold a grand opening on Thursday, January 11. With a wealth of Sony IPs like Ghostbusters and Bad Boys, the attractions include two Ghostbusters VR games (the Arena, where players suit up with proton packs to capture ghosts alongside fellow trainees, and Blitz, a driving game), a Jumanji-themed VR experience that uses escape room-style puzzle-solving to recapture a stolen jewel, and sections aimed at arcade fans and high-speed driving enthusiasts. Sony says Wonderverse can attract newer fans like older teens and young adults, noting the properties “are recognized and loved by everyone whether you were alive when the original movies premiered or discovered them with the most recent additions to the franchise.”" - Naomi Waxman
