"Facing a steep decline in business, owners Kathryn DiMenichi and Holli Medley temporarily closed their Grant Park bar to support efforts to contain COVID-19, though they plan to reopen; the bar had been set to celebrate one year in business on March 27. During the hiatus, Cardinal’s six staff members shifted duties to help prepare and deliver meals and groceries for the adjoining market, and combined staff from the bar and market (13 total) are receiving a grocery stipend from Third Street Goods." - Beth McKibben
