"I found a laid-back new brewpub right near the water in Hermosa Beach called Hermosa Brewing Company that landed last month; they opened at 1342 Hermosa Avenue but aren’t actually brewing on site yet. Instead, ownership is gypsy brewing on other breweries’ systems because a zoning quirk requires the space to be listed as a restaurant rather than a taproom. For now the team is making about half-a-dozen beers elsewhere, with plans to expand to a dozen or more in the coming year, and they intend to offer food as well." - Farley Elliott
