"A new downtown Austin bar that opened in the former West Fourth Street cocktail space on July 17; the project involves Rob Pate (of the neighboring French restaurant), John Nelson and Craig Cargill (of a venue in Kyle, Texas), and Doug Quint. The team repositioned the room away from an overstocked cocktail-bar vibe toward a livelier spot for food, drinks, and entertainment, with cowhide seating and TVs tuned to football. The menu leans Southern and Texan—highlights include fried green tomatoes, chili cheeseburgers, banana bread pudding and occasional boozy cupcakes—while the drink list features Texas beers, local liquors and seltzers.
