Tocayo Tacos, Cherry Street Brewpub, and Gu’s Dumplings Open at Halcyon in Alpharetta, Forsyth County, Georgia - Eater Atlanta
"A handful of food stalls and restaurants are now open at the 135-acre Halcyon development in southern Forsyth County, including chocolatier Kilwins, Tocayo tacos, an outpost of Krog Street Market-based Gu’s Dumplings, and a second location of Cumming-based Cherry Street Brewpub. Like the Krog Street Market location, the Gu’s Sichuan stall inside Halcyon’s food hall serves pork and vegetable Zhong-style dumplings, Sichuan noodle dishes such as dan dan and Chengdu cold noodles, vegetables like spicy dried eggplant and dry fried string beans as well as Chongqing spicy chicken and mapo spicy tofu. The Tocayo stall offers five different tacos on its menu: chicken, steak, al pastor, fish, and a vegetarian option. In addition to tacos, the stall serves rice and beans, street corn, and plantains and dark chocolate Mexican polenta and dulce de leche for dessert. Drinks at Tocayo include two draft beers and two canned beers along with four sodas. Gu’s, Tocayo, and Kilwins are three of six stalls inside the food hall, located off a portion of the development’s 50-acre green space. They will eventually be joined by Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee, Pita Mediterranean Street Food, and poke stall Sweet Tuna. Stand-alone locations of cake shop and bakery It’s a Sweet Life and popsicle shop Popbar also opened recently at Halcyon. A second location of Alpharetta’s Butcher and Brew, dine-in movie theater Cinebistro, brunch spot Never Enough Thyme, CT Cantina Taqueria, and surf and turf restaurant Ocean and Acre plan to open soon at Halcyon." - Beth McKibben
