"Reopened as a living tribute to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this dual barbecue joint and motel at 1073 Texas State Highway 304 in Bastrop was restored by owner Roy Rose to bring new life to the film's dilapidated filling outpost; its October 8 grand opening drew huge crowds (people waited nearly three hours) and included barbecue and a guest appearance by Ed Neal, the actor who played the hitchhiker in the original film." - Eater Staff
