"Whenever I’m in or around Orange County I always tack on a meal at Nok’s Kitchen, a dependable Lao powerhouse from chef Nokmaniphone Sayavong tucked into a quiet Garden Grove strip mall; everything on its spiral-bound menu is vibrantly flavored and carefully prepared. I rotate between the papaya salad, crispy rice salad, and salmon larb, but the Lao pork sausages are a must-have: smoky from the grill, juicy within, herbaceous and savory, and even better dipped in the zippy, spicy house sauce and paired with sticky rice.
