"This gourmet mini-chain has appointed Mike Ciardi as executive chef to oversee menus and catering across its four locations, including a new West Loop outpost expected this summer; Ciardi began his career as a festival producer before training at the French Culinary Institute in New York and working at upscale food shops Radish and Union Market. The company also hired Alisha Elenz as chef de cuisine to lead culinary operations at the West Loop location and introduce dishes at other outposts — Elenz rose from part-time prep to executive chef at Spanish spot Mfk, has previous stints at Maude’s Liquor Bar and the Waldorf Astoria, won a Jean Banchet Award for Rising Chef of the Year in 2019, and was a James Beard Rising Star finalist the same year.
