"Opened last week at 933 St-Zotique East, L’Hamburger is George Megas’ first lunchtime venture after years as a Café Dépôt franchise owner. I found the 12-seat fast-casual spot keeps a deliberately minimalist menu—"I just have burgers and fries," Megas says—offering a plain burger, a cheeseburger, fries, and about 10 milkshake variations like salted caramel, Oreo, and Kit Kat. The place is focused on nailing the classics and serving Petite-Patrie’s locals with fast service; Megas says he’s "very very happy" with the first week because "it’s moving fast, people are coming and going," noting customers can place an order in about 20 seconds and the burgers cook quickly so "everyone’s happy."
